Parkgate Winter Lights

Parkgate Society invites the community to its annual Winter Lights celebration on Friday, December 5, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Parkgate Community Centre and Plaza. This year's event showcases a lineup of local performers, starting with the The Squares Quartet and an all-ages sing-along with Brian Cook.

For the first time at Winter Lights, the NoteWorthy Singers, an intergenerational choir, will perform. The choir is a unique collaboration between Ecole Windsor Secondary, Parkgate Society, and the Vancouver Coastal Health Mental Health Team. Founded in 2019, the choir brings together students, people living with dementia, and care providers to foster friendship and connection through singing while breaking down generational stereotypes.

Attendees can also enjoy performances by Seymour Dance and listen to music from the Windsor Band. Families will have multiple opportunities to meet Santa, including two special Storytimes with Santa presented in partnership with the North Vancouver District Public Library. In addition, visitors can explore our largest pottery sale of the year, browse craft sales, participate in a free family-friendly craft activity, enjoy warm food and beverages, and enjoy a festive atmosphere.
