QCon AI New York 2026 is a two-day conference from C4Media, the team behind InfoQ and QCon. It runs December 15-16, 2026, at The Westin Jersey City Newport, one PATH stop from Lower Manhattan, and is built for senior software engineers, software architects, and engineering leaders who own how AI systems run once they are live.
What the program covers:
Agent runtime design, including state ownership, recovery, replay paths, and approval boundaries for long-running agents.
Context engineering.
Evals and observability.
MCP and tool access. Zero-trust agent security.
Inference cost and latency.
First sessions are announced in August, the preliminary schedule in October, and the complete program by early November.
How sessions are chosen:
A Program Committee of working senior engineers picks the program session by session. Two questions decide every talk. Has the speaker run this in production, and will they share what didn't work as honestly as what worked. The committee filters product pitches out before any session is accepted, and sponsored talks are separated from the editorial program.
