Remembering Christopher Katz, Mongero Veterans Memorial Park Re-Dedication To all who served

8/8 the community will come together for a special ceremony at the reopening of the Michael C. Mongero Veterans Memorial Park, with a dedication honoring the memory of Christopher Katz.

Join family, friends, veterans, first responders, and community members as we pay tribute to the men and women who have served our nation and those who continue to protect our freedoms.

The ceremony will honor the sacrifices, courage, and dedication of our veterans while remembering Christopher Katz - a Crompond resident, Army Reservist, Capitol Police recruit officer, athlete, and young man who dedicated himself to serving others.

Christopher's life reflected the values we honor in our veterans: commitment, bravery, loyalty, and service to community and country. His family invites everyone to gather as we celebrate the reopening of this special place, remember our heroes, and ensure that their stories and sacrifices are never forgotten.

Please join us as we honor our veterans and celebrate the lasting legacy of Christopher Katz.
