Romance in CNY 2026
Saturday, April 18, 2026, 1000 - 1700
Romance readers, book lovers, and community supporters are invited to attend Romance in CNY on April 18, 2026, a full day celebrating romance literature, creativity, and local businesses.
The event will feature more than 60 romance authors from across the region and beyond who will be selling and signing their books. Whether you love contemporary romance, dark romance, small-town love stories, or something a little edgy, readers will have the chance to meet authors, discover new favorites, and get their books signed.
In addition to the author lineup, a dozen unique vendors will be on site offering a variety of bookish and handmade items. Attendees can browse everything from custom tumblers and crocheted stuffies to bookmarks, sprayed-edge books from Edgy Pages, and baked treats from Sweet Dreams Are Baked of This. It’s the perfect place to find gifts for readers-or a little something for yourself.
The event also includes several interactive experiences throughout the day:
“Guess Who Wrote It?” Author Panels
These lively, interactive panels invite audience members to play along as the facilitator reads five anonymous quotes from the authors on stage. The audience works together to guess which author wrote each quote. At the end of the panel, one lucky participant will win a themed book basket prize.
Edgy Pages Book Edge Painting Workshops
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn the art of painting book edges during two special workshops hosted by Edgy Pages. Participants bring their own book and leave with a beautifully customized, hand-painted edge. These workshops are ticketed experiences, and seats are almost full, so early registration is strongly encouraged.
Limited-Edition Anthology for Charity
A limited number of copies of “A Sunday in July: A Romance in CNY Anthology” will be available at the event. Written by 10 participating authors, this collection of short romance stories is inspired by references to Boilermaker Sunday. Proceeds from the anthology will benefit Rover’s Do-Over Dog Rescue.
Adoptable “Furry Book Buddies”
Rover’s Do-Over Dog Rescue of Frankfort will also be bringing adoptable dogs to the event. Guests can meet these lovable companions who may just become the next member of their family-or their reading buddy.
Bookish Flash Tattoos
Nevermore Tattoo Collective of Whitesboro will be on site offering book-themed flash tattoos for attendees looking to commemorate their love of reading with a little ink.
Event Scavenger Hunt and Raffles
Guests can participate in a fun event scavenger hunt by completing prompts like “Find an author who…” throughout the venue. Participants earn raffle tickets that can be entered into drawings for a variety of book-themed raffle baskets.
