Ron Carter **Special Encore Event**

Some concerts offer entertainment. Others offer the rare opportunity to experience an artist whose music has shaped the course of jazz itself. An evening with Ron Carter belongs firmly in the latter category.
Known for his extraordinary elegance, impeccable time, and seemingly effortless command of melody, Carter's performances reveal why he remains one of the most revered musicians in jazz. Every note is purposeful, every phrase deeply considered, creating music that is at once intimate, adventurous, and profoundly expressive. Whether leading the ensemble or responding with subtle brilliance, his artistry reminds audiences that true mastery is often found in restraint.
Presented at the Rialto Theatre, this rare Tucson appearance offers listeners the chance to experience one of jazz's greatest living artists exactly as he is today-still exploring, still creating, and still finding new possibilities within every performance. It is an evening that celebrates not only a remarkable musical legacy, but the timeless artistry of live jazz at its highest level.
"At 85, the jazz bassist Ron Carter still seeks 'a better order of notes.'"
