Sequatchie County Fair

The Sequatchie County Fair takes place August 14th - 16th. There will be exhibits of Crops and Vegetables, Art, Quilts, Photographs, Preserved Foods, Herbal Products, Flowers and plants, Sewing, Needlework and Handicrafts. The Carnival will open on Tuesday - Thursday (12th - 14th) @ 5 pm and will open on Friday and Saturday (15th and 16th) @ 6pm. Our Petting Zoo will be open Thursday - Saturday (14th-16th) from 10am to 8pm. Thursday, the 14th is Demonstration and Special Needs Day, with demonstrations on quilting, knitting, crocheting, Raising Quail and Inoculating logs for mushrooms. The carnival will have a special time for rides for our special needs visitors. In the evening is our Talent Show. Friday the 15th is Family Day, with our local librarian holding storytime in the morning, Ask A Farmer Friday in the afternoon will have Mowbray Mountain Farms talking about regenerative farming, and Music Maker will have performances beginng at 3:30. Saturday will begin with our 4H Chicken Show and Sale, the 3rd Annual Car Show, Food Trucks and Steve Gaston Blacksmithing. The afternoon will feature Amelia and Landon Greer performing on stage, a Farmer Olympics contest, then Bingo and the drawing for door prizes, which includes a 2 night stay at the Historic Gatlinburg Inn. The raffle drawing for our Tennessee's Dawg quilt will also take place at that time.
Fair entry is free. Carnival Rides require ticket purchase.
