Sips at Sheldon
Tuesday, February 24, 2026, 1730 - 1900
Look at works of art in the collection of Sheldon Museum of Art from new and diverse perspectives through discussions with University of Nebraska faculty members and Erin Hanas, curator for academic and campus engagement. Conversations begin in the galleries and continue in the boardroom with sips and charcuterie.
A new semester of Sips at Sheldon kicks off February 24 with a conversation led by history professor Jeannette Eileen Jones, a historian of the United States with expertise in American cultural and intellectual history, African American history and studies, and pre-colonial Africa. Her research reflects her desire to contribute to the larger critical conversations taking place in these fields, specifically around the role of race in shaping American cultural and intellectual discourse and production.
Free for members of the Sheldon Art Association, $10 for nonmembers.
