Soul Kitchen - An Evening of Qawwali, 18 July 2026.
Saturday, July 18, 2026, 1800 - 2230
Soul Kitchen, the Harrow-based food poverty charity that has served meals to families across the borough since 2017, is hosting its first major fundraising concert this summer at Harrow Arts Centre.
An Evening of Qawwali, featuring the renowned Sabri Brothers Legacy live in concert, will take place at Elliott Hall on Saturday 18 July 2026. Doors open at 6:00 PM, with the show starting at 7:30 PM. Tickets are now on sale through Harrow Arts Centre, priced from £10 to £30, with all proceeds going directly to the charity's work.
Last year alone, Soul Kitchen supported more than 12,500 families and 31,000 individuals across Harrow, serving over 34,000 hot meals and distributing 9,000 fresh food portions through its three service locations - working in partnership with Harrow Central Mosque, the Salam Centre and the London Borough of Harrow.
Founded by Syed Hasan in 2017, the charity operates on a simple principle: anyone can come, no questions asked, no judgement given. Its tagline - Food without barriers. Support without judgement - reflects nearly a decade of service to anyone in the community who walks through its doors.
What people don't realise about food poverty is who actually walks through our doors. It's the elderly gentleman who lost his wife and doesn't cook for himself anymore. It's the young mother whose universal credit has been delayed again. It's the student who's run out of money before the end of term. Hunger in this country wears many faces and Soul Kitchen exists to meet every one of them with dignity.
This evening of qawwali is our way of bringing the community together for something beautiful, while raising the funds we need to keep serving families across Harrow. The Sabri Brothers Legacy carries one of the most respected names in the qawwali tradition and we are honoured to have them with us. Whether you come for the music, for the cause, or for both, we'd love to see you there.
