St. Baldrick's Foundation Brave the Shave- Summer Kickoff at Dublin, CA
Sunday, June 28, 2026, 1100 - 1600
Brave the Shave - Summer Kickoff is a family-friendly community fundraiser benefiting the St. Baldrick's Foundation, the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants.
Join us on Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Emerald Glen Park in Dublin as we come together to help conquer childhood cancer.
There are many ways to participate:
- Shave your head in solidarity with children fighting cancer
- Donate your hair to help create wigs for children who have lost their hair during treatment
- Raise funds for childhood cancer research
- Volunteer at the event
- Attend and support participants
Every 2 minutes, a child is diagnosed with cancer. While survival rates have improved for some childhood cancers, many treatments remain decades old, and childhood cancer research receives only a fraction of overall cancer research funding.
Funds raised through the St. Baldrick's Foundation help support lifesaving research and clinical trials that give children and families hope for a better future.
This year's event will feature:
- Head shaving and hair donation opportunities
- Photos with members of Vader's 501st Legion Stormtroopers
- Community partners and public safety agencies
- Family-friendly activities
- Opportunities to meet participants and hear their stories
Whether you're ready to shave your head, donate your hair, make a donation, volunteer, or simply cheer on those who do, we invite you to be part of something meaningful.
Together, we can help fund the next breakthrough in childhood cancer research.
