This class will give campers a unique opportunity to make light up animal lanterns out of clay while learning about different animals. For 3 days, campers will be able to sculpt, cut and glaze their own nighttime light up lantern while thinking and learning about how light shines through different shapes.
About the Instructor: Angela Hauser studied and earned her Bachelor's in Art Studio at Sonoma State University with a focus in Ceramics and Sculpture. She spent three summers outside in the Sierra Mountains where she taught ceramics to campers and counselors alike at Gold Arrow Camp. Angela spent time working under Sonoma State Professor Sena Clara Creston on a Koret Scholarship art project and has art installed at the Children's Museum of Sonoma County. She focuses on joy, whimsy and fun in her teaching and personal art, pulling her inspiration through her students.
