Sussex Raceday at Plumpton Racecourse

There’s no better way to celebrate Sussex than by spending the day in the glorious countryside with the stunning South Downs as your backdrop. Add to the scene the thrilling action of the Sussex Stayers Hurdle race, traditional Morris Men performances, a falconry display, delicious local food and drink, and a charity mascot race, and the day is complete.

That’s exactly what’s on offer this April 19th at Plumpton Racecourse, as one of the smallest and most picturesque racecourses in the country gets ready to bring Sussex traditions, spirit and pride firmly back on the agenda.

Visitors will be treated to seven exciting races - eight if you include the charity mascot race! - and a day of fun, joy and remembering everything that is special about the beautiful area of Sussex.

An action-packed day out for all the family, from the youngest to the oldest and everyone in between, Plumpton’s Sussex Raceday is about getting out into the fresh air, enjoying each other’s company, and being proud to be a man or maid of Sussex - honourary ones also warmly welcomed!
