The Elvington Comedy Evening
Sunday, July 12, 2026, 1900 - 2130
Elvington Comedy Evening in July 2026 with two, work in progress shows from Tez Ilyas (Man Like Mobeen, Live at the Apollo, Fighting Talk etc) plus Alfie Moore at the Elvington Comedy Evening! Please scroll down for more info.
Acts subject to change. Fully seated. Advanced swearing. 18+ We want all our guests to have a great night so please respect those around you by turning off your phone and not talking whilst the show is in progress. Thanks! Sorry but we can only refund or reallocate if the show is cancelled.
What do we mean by ‘Work In Progress’? These shows aren’t the finished product. The comedians will be fine tuning them before they take them out on tour. You may see them occasionally referring to notes and there may well be the odd gag that doesn’t make the final edit. The advantage for our customers is you get two shows (roughly 50 to 60 minutes each) for less thatn it would cost you to see one. You also get to hear the brand new gags and routines long before anyone else sees them.
Tez Ilyas: Preview (Work In Progress) The grumpiest uncle in showbiz is back with a brand-new show. See Tez Ilyas work out fresh jokes, furious rants, and ridiculous stories, ahead of his massive Nationwide tour this Autumn.
Star of: Man Like Mobeen (BBC Three), Live at the Apollo (BBC Two), Fighting Talk (BBC Radio 5 Live) and Sunday Times bestselling author of The Secret Diary of a British Muslim Aged 13 3⁄4.
**** The Times **** The Guardian
“Brilliantly funny… genuinely hilarious” - David Mitchell
Alfie Moore comes to Elvington with a fun-filled, ‘warm up’ show ahead of recording Series 10 of his hit BBC Radio 4 comedy ‘It’s A Fair Cop’.
Alfie ‘swears in’ the audience as police officers before sharing a brand new, real-life scenario from his ‘casebook’. He playfully challenges the ‘audience cops’ to say what they would’ve done in his shoes - with often unexpected and entertaining results!
Every show is unique to the audience in the room - so why not come and find out what sort of cop you’d make?! It’d be a crime to miss it!
“…thoroughly engaging, endlessly funny. His charisma shines through as bright and colourful as a twirling blue light” - The Times
