Who Can Audition

Open to ages 8 through adult - no previous experience necessary.

The Phantom of the Opera production is exclusively open to performers ages 19 and under as part of MTI's Young Performers Elite Company. All other productions are open to participants of all ages within the general eligibility range.

MTI celebrates diversity and inclusivity; performers of all backgrounds, abilities, and identities are encouraged to audition.

How to Register

Complete a registration form, indicate which productions you're interested in (noting age eligibility for Phantom), and upload a current photo (casual, not professional, is fine).

Audition Format and Process

45-minute audition sessions with up to 10 participants each.

Prepare up to two musical selections (no more than 1 minute each), chosen from MTI's approved audition music list. Live accompanist provided.

Some shows may include dance or movement auditions.

Auditioners should wear comfortable, dark-colored clothing (avoid logos/graphics) and arrive early to warm up.

Commitments and Rehearsals

All cast members should be available for at least two productions during the season.

Rehearsals typically take place Monday through Friday evenings, with some weekend work calls as needed.

Performance dates and production schedules vary by show - availability will be reviewed during casting.
