Wednesday, July 8, 2026, 1900 - 2200
wifart gallery invites you to The Opening Event: the grand launch of the world's first wi-fi art gallery.
wifart gallery operates a free public WiFi network - FREE Hackney Wifi - in Dalston Square, East London. Instead of ticking a terms and conditions box to connect, visitors draw a picture on their phone. Each drawing is reviewed, assigned a title and curatorial note by the curatorial office, and published permanently in the collection at wifartgallery.com.
The exact location will be emailed to people at least 24 hours before the event.
On the evening, attendees will have the opportunity to submit a drawing to the collection. There will be drinks, a raffle and Twiglets.
