The Owen Chow Quintet - Rings in the New Year

The Owen Chow Quintet - Rings in the New Year - will feature a mix of highly-orchestrated jazz standards as well as never before heard originals written by Owen Chow. The all-star band, made up of BC's finest musicians, will feature the great Kelby MacNayr on drums, Louis Rudner on bass, Ben Sigerson on piano and Mateo Jaeckel on trombone. The quintet is excited to celebrate the New Year at Canada's oldest running jazz club, and this memorable show will inspire the audience through the striking energy of Improvised music.

Owen Chow is a multi-award winning trumpet player who grew up playing music in Victoria BC, before moving to Montreal to complete a degree in Jazz Performance at the prestigious McGill University. After graduating in the spring of 2023, Owen has been performing at the many different jazz clubs in Montreal as a freelance trumpet player. During his time in Montreal, he has played alongside Louis Hayes, Charles McPherson and Melisa Aldana, amongst others.

This show will deliver a high-energy experience and will leave the audience wanting more!
