The Rebel Triathlon

Join us in the Hot City for an exhilarating day of Kayaking, Running and Biking! Thermopolis is the perfect place to embrace your sense of adventure. This is our first inaugural Rebel Triathlon hosted by the Cultural Immersion Club at Hot Springs County High School. This group takes students to different countries to explore their language, culture and cuisine! All proceeds will go to helping students pay for their trip to Costa Rica in March of 2027! Race registration and equipment check will be July 17th at 6pm at the High School, Race Day is July 18th with waves starting at 7:00am!
Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned triathlete, there's a race for everyone! The race will begin on the beautiful Bighorn River as participants Kayak through town, the state park and ending at Kirby Creek Ditch. Then, you get the full view of the red dirt hills as you run through the state park to the High School, the last leg of the race is the biking where you will ride a mixture of beautiful dirt trails and blacktop where you will loop through the buffalo pasture, (just don’t try to pet the buffalo or race them).

Registration types and prices:
Adult Individual Race approx 12.2 miles
$75 if you need both a bike and kayak
$70 if you have your own bike or kayak
$65 if you have both a bike and a kayak
Adult Relay Race approx 12.2 miles
$120 if you need both a bike and kayak
$115 if you have your own bike or kayak
$110 if you have both a bike and a kayak
15-17 year olds can compete in the youth
or the Adult races.
Youth Race approx 1 mile 8-14 years old $25
Youth Race approx 2 mile 15-17 years old $25
No price difference for youth races if you have your own equipment.
All registrations include Bike Rental, Kayak Rental (if needed) and a T-Shirt as supplies last.
A T-shirt is included in the registration, guaranteeing a shirt if registered by July 11th.
A detailed schedule will be sent out to participants July 11th!
Online Registration ends July 11th.
Day before registration (the 17th) will be allowed as long as participants have their own equipment.
