Town and Country Garden Club Hosts "A Garden Affair to Remember: Boots and Boeuf"

Step back in time at this 1809 bed and breakfast, nestled on 22 beautifully landscaped acres. Guests are invited to explore the hidden Gentlemen's Lodges and admire the horses, with comfortable walking boots recommended for traversing the property. Golf cart rides will also be available for convenience.
The event promises an afternoon of leisure and delight, beginning with opportunities to browse a garden boutique, enter to win a raffle basket, and participate in a silent auction. Attendees can also unleash their creativity by arranging their own flower bouquets. Refreshments will be available to enjoy in the gardens or near the lawn games. Guests will also have the chance to tour the historic B&B.
The culinary highlight of the evening will be a French Country themed meal, served amidst tall trees on tables adorned with white linens, fresh flowers, and candles. The four-course dinner will feature a choice of Beef Bourguignon (gluten-free) or Mushroom Ravioli, preceded by hors d'oeuvres, salad, French bread with herbed butter, and followed by dessert and coffee. Craft cocktails and other beverages will be available, with a cash bar for mocktails and cocktails. The evening will conclude with guests sipping the last of their wine at sunset.
Beyond the festivities, "A Garden Affair to Remember" supports the vital causes of the Town and Country Garden Club, a non-profit 501c organization now in its 69th year. Their initiatives include:
Providing annual scholarships for horticulture and environmental studies.
Reforesting and rebuilding nature areas and forests.
Creating seasonal floral displays to beautify downtown Lancaster.
Offering educational programming on gardening and sustainability.
Encouraging interest in the art and science of horticulture.
The Town and Country Garden Club of Lancaster holds the distinction of being the only Lancaster club affiliated with both the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania and National Garden Clubs, Inc..
