Discover the stories behind a lost Sussex railway at the premiere of Tracing the Rails® Episode 5, on **Wednesday 21 October 2026** at **Christ's Hospital Theatre, Christ's Hospital School, Horsham, RH13 0LJ**.

Tracing the Rails is an independent, community documentary series following the former Steyning Line. Presenters Stephen Cranford and Mike Pope-Jaimes explore what survives today, bringing together archive photographs, local memories and conversations with the people who keep its history alive. Along the way, they uncover how the railway shaped the villages, working lives and landscapes it once connected.

This latest episode takes us from **West Grinstead through Copsale to Southwater**, exploring rural life, industry, brickmaking and the personal stories woven into the railway's history. Expect discoveries, familiar places seen afresh, and the warmth and gentle humour that make the series much more than a programme about trains.

Join us in the school's beautiful **Globe-style theatre** to experience the film on the big screen. The episode runs for two and a half hours, so we have divided the premiere into two parts, giving you three ways to enjoy it:

**1. Part 1 only - £6**
West Grinstead and Copsale, plus a special presentation by Laura Kidner, curator of Christ's Hospital's private museum. Arrive at **5.15pm**, finishing around **7.30pm**.

**2. Part 2 only - £6**
Southwater, followed by an optional Q and A and chat. Arrive at **7.45pm**, finishing around **9.45pm**.

**3. Both parts - £10**
The complete evening, including the presentation, both screenings, an interval and the optional Q and A. Arrive at **5.15pm**, finishing around **9.45pm**.
