Tree Lighting Ceremony - Honoring Veterans Away from Home

This is a festive tree lighting held in honor of veterans serving away from home. The Word Alive Bible Church will lead in prayer with music provided by their choir. The event will be held outside on the front lawn so dress for this 30-minute ceremony, After the ceremony attendees can place a biodegradable ornament in honor of or in memory of a veteran who won't be able to come home. There will be a reception in the post 12 building with hot chocolate and cookies. There will also be a free workshop to make a pinecone ornament for a veteran to hang on the tree if you do not have one or would like to make one. Children, be on the lookout for Santa to arrive!
