Sonoma, California. Sonoma Community Center, in partnership with Smit Show Comedy, presents Valley Laughs, a night of stand-up comedy in Andrews Hall. Frankie Marcos headlines with featured comedienne Natalie Diaz and host Brian Thomas. A fundraising event for the Center, tickets are $25, and the show will take place Friday, August 8th at 7:30 p.m. Doors to the "Laugh Lounge" open at 6:30 p.m. for preshow drinks.
Winner of the 2024 San Francisco Comedy Competition, Frankie Marcos will headline Valley Laughs. A Mexican-Filipino comic, he was born and raised in San Jose. "Shark City," as Marcos calls it. Living in the Bay Area and Los Angeles, he is now an international headliner. Marcos' career has involved working with notable comedians, including Taylor Tomlinson, Michael Che, and Nicole Byer.
From Middletown, California, Natalie Diaz is a refreshing voice in comedy and will perform ahead of Marcos. Known for her authentic and honest style, she has quickly made her mark on legendary stages like Cobb's Comedy Club and the Sacramento Punch Line. Offstage, she spends her time overthinking and oversharing.
Hosting the evening will be Brian Thomas, visiting the Center from beautiful downtown Rohnert Park. He has performed comedy around the Bay Area at popular venues such as the San Jose Improv, the Throckmorton Theatre, and San Francisco County Jail #3. He's known for his observational humor and unique takes on everyday life.
Valley Laughs takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, August 8th in Andrews Hall, 276 East Napa St. Doors open for ticket holders to enjoy the "Laugh Lounge" at 6:30 p.m., where adult beverages will be available to purchase. He is the winner of the 2024 San Francisco International comedy competition, earning a place in history next to other past finalists like Robin Williams, Louis C.K, Ellen DeGeneres, and more. Frankie is a regular on Don't Tell Comedy as well as Chocolate Sundaes at the Laugh Factory in Hollywood. Frankie has been in the New York Comedy Festival, Melbourne International in Australia, and the Edinburgh Fringe in Scotland.
