Vienna Community Band Fall Concert

This concert is centered around several "suites" written for or arranged for concert band. Four suites by legendary American composers Aaron Copland (Appalachian Spring), Leonard Bernstein (Candide), William Grant Still (Folk Suite for Band), and Ron Nelson (Courtly Airs and Dances) highlight the color and stylistic capabilities of the wind band. Rounding out the program are several pieces that showcase the flexibility and diversity of wind band music, featuring composers Harold Walters, Leroy Anderson, Irving Berlin, and Eric Whitacre.
