Monday, June 2, 2025 -- Monday, June 30, 2025, 0900 - 1700
NOTICE OF VIRTUAL PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING FOR THE MISSOURI DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION'S (MoDOT) Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) and State Freight and Rail Plan (SFRP) updates. MoDOT is in the process of updating its current LRTP and SFRP. MoDOT is required to develop, adopt, and implement a LRTP and a SFRP, as required by federal legislation and regulations updated through the Fixing America's Surface Transportation Act (FAST Act, 2015) and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA, November 2021).

Notice is hereby given to all interested persons that a virtual public meeting will be held at website link starting at noon CDT on Monday, June 2, 2025, through 5:00 p.m. CDT on Monday, June 30, 2025. All interested persons will be given an opportunity to review transportation trends and identify transportation priorities to help determine the goals for the state's 25-year transportation vision.

What is the LRTP?
The LRTP is a policy-driven document that ensures compliance with state and federal regulations while guiding the development of Missouri's transportation system. This document serves as a roadmap for the state's transportation network through 2050, building on MoDOT's 2018 LRTP and addressing emerging trends and evolving needs that impact the entire transportation system.

What is the SFRP?
The SFRP is a strategic document that outlines the vision, goals, and priorities of Missouri's freight and passenger rail systems. It provides a comprehensive assessment of existing conditions and provides short- and long-term goals to improve and enhance the freight and rail infrastructure.

Comments must be postmarked or received by Monday, June 30, 2025, to be included in the official public meeting record.

Additional questions about the planning process for both plans can be addressed by calling 1-888-ASK-MoDOT (275-6636) or by mail at MoDOT Transportation Planning, P.O. Box 270, Jefferson City, MO 65102.
