Walk N Talk Tour "UU Utica – The Early Years" Downtown Utica - Sept 14 at 1:00 PM -Chancellor Pk

Led by Jerry Reed, UU Utica's Church Historian and Communications Chair, this one-mile walking tour will trace the congregation's early history - from its founding at the Utica Court House and Academy in 1825 through the early 1900s. Along the way, Reed will share captivating stories and insights that illuminate UU Utica's first century, set against the backdrop of a rapidly growing Utica during the trans-formative era of the Erie Canal.
This tour is perfect for members of the congregation, local history buffs, and anyone curious about Utica's past. Discover how UU Utica's early presence helped shape the city's spiritual and community life in its formative years. This tour is the first event in the three month commemoration of UU Utica's Bicentennial, and now the second oldest continually meeting religious community in Utica.
Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and prepare for an enriching afternoon of stories, history, and connection.
