OnWashington Entrepreneur Contest Returns for Fourth Year in South Norwalk, CT
AGW SONO Partners has announced the return of its OnWashington Entrepreneur Contest, inviting entrepreneurs to pitch original business concepts for the chance to win a free one-month pop-up commercial space on Washington Street in South Norwalk's Historic District
Produced by AGW's OnWashington marketing arm, the annual contest supports small businesses by activating vacant storefronts and giving entrepreneurs the opportunity to test new ideas in a real-world retail environment. AGW SONO Partners manages 27 properties along Washington Street, including restaurants, retail, office, and lifestyle spaces. Past contests have drawn more than 30 submissions annually, with winning concepts ranging from art galleries to sustainable retail. Previous winner Eco Evolution successfully transitioned from a pop-up into a permanent Washington Street business
The 2026 winner will receive a one month pop-up space to engage customers, gather feedback, and refine their concept. Ideal proposals include fitness studios, boutiques, food markets, galleries, salons, media studios, and other creative or lifestyle businesses.
Applications are due Friday, February 27, 2026. Finalists will present their business plan in person. The winner will be announced on Monday, March 16, 2026.
